Bringing our tech to do more with less

As a team at E2M and as individuals, we’ve been passionate about the environment since we were young. To be able to spend time doing what we love every day, helping to create balanced environmental outcomes and genuinely making a difference for our clients is a privilege.

We’re specialists in the provision of technology-driven ecology. At E2M, that means applying a progressive mindset to project delivery. By bringing technology to the fore of every decision and integrating it within every program, we deliver balanced environmental outcomes for our clients with greater cost and time efficiencies than ever before.

Technology-driven ecology continues to differentiate our service and our operations. It’s a strategic priority that delivers extraordinary value, measurable efficiencies, and satisfaction across our customer base. It’s also an embedded culture that underpins and propels our growth trajectory.

The parameters of every project are varied, and we apply the relevant technology at the right time for maximum impact and results.

Bringing our tech to do more with less

Here are just a few examples of how we make this happen:

  • Our team of GIS and Spatial experts help our clients to visualise, analyse and manage geographical insights and identify patterns to inform and expedite decision-making. This supports and drives efficiency across planning and development activities for projects across Queensland.
  • Our highly qualified and experienced team of Terrestrial Ecologists bring knowledge from the field, bringing field insights to incorporate into our tech stack. This improves the accuracy and speed of data capture and improves project outcomes for today, while gathering insights for tomorrow.
  • Our data capture and data management solutions gather information according to asset type and environmental matter. This brings elevated levels of project and environmental insights and the ability to interact with real-time data where network access allows.
  • We use remote sensing technology to quickly and cost-effectively create a comprehensive summary of site constraints, enabling organisations to gain insights and quickly make decisions around the feasibility of development opportunities in remote locations.
  • Our work with bioacoustic technology continues to gain notoriety as we leverage bioacoustic recorders to capture 24*7 data in a non-invasive way. Through the development of machine learning techniques, we’ve been able to extract and interpret raw audio data to identify, track and monitor species calls more cost-effectively and accurately than ever before. • We’re investigating the use of radar and bioacoustics to survey nocturnal bird and bat movements and we’re using motion detection cameras to provide data about the species location, population size and interactions without the need for on-site resources to manually capture information.

Of course there’s the everyday tech we get to trial out on a daily basis in often punishing weather and challenging terrain, including our trusty Trimble, using drones to augment our survey effort, using computer vision algorithms to expedite fauna identification and bioacoustics recorders to capture what we can’t see.

To make sure we’re always on the front foot, our strategic innovation program and dedicated team of expert ecologists stay focused on keeping us ahead of the trends.   If you’re interested in chatting about how we employ technology to create balanced environmental outcomes for our Clients, or you’d like to learn more about how to start a career in technology-driven ecology, reach out to chat.
